two utterly wonderful songs from these two bands that are the perfect partners across these seven inches. empire! empire! have come up with a 5 minute delight, meandering indie / emo of the best kind, taking hints from mineral and benton falls and weaving them into their own design - it's a perfect stand alone song. football, etc. hit vinyl for the first time and you can only hope that there is more to come. they nail a truly original take on the indie / emo thing, with a song that gently pushes, a true slowburner. somewhere between evergreen, crash & britany and rainer maria, and yes, it's just as good as that seemingly ridiculous and impossible combination would suggset. this is a split release with US label count your lucky stars, if you are in the US, please pick it up from them! this release includes a download code.
