welcome to sncl, a UK based record distro that has been running since, ooh, 2001 i do believe. i stock lots of vinyl and cds, mostly emo, punk, hardcore and indie but sometimes other stuff. this is a DIY endeavour, stuff will get sent out within a week of you ordering it and i am happy to hold your records for a while if you can't pay right away. if there is something you are looking for, feel free to ask, i may be able to get it. i hope i keep the prices fair and i hope you'll find what you're looking for.
i also help bands i like release records. below is a list of records i have been involved with past, present and future.
the reaching away / perfect future split 7" is finally out. perfect future do a lengthy emo effort, sad and downbeat, recalling yaphet kotto and kolya! reaching away is most of the pine, older, wise, maturer... there is enough of their old sound in their but now they are moving on to new things. the dude japan / weed hounds split is out too. this is a jaunt with my yankee buddy mike rok lok. dude japan is 90s indie rock for old bastards, weed hounds is fuzzed out shoegaze, you already checked out their demo i reckon. the empire! empire! album is finally available from me. half of my copies are lost in the post it seems, which is a nightmare, but i am now making it available. it is a cracking album of indie / emo, the band exceeded themselves here. more empire! empire is to be found on their split with football, etc. split 7" is available, it looks and sounds incredible, i love this split so much. both bands contribute excellent stand alone songs to make the perfect indiemo seven. the perfect future cd has been out for a while now and should appeal to you if you like the intricacies of kolya balanced with some more delicate acoustic touches and occasionally outpourings of hardcore noisiness.
if you are observant you may have spotted that the upcoming release list has fattened up somewhat. here's the info on that. joie de vivre are finishing up their new lp for cyls + sncl, and it is set to be the twinkly indie/emo smash of the early new year. should be a real corker. then there is the what price wonderland? / twisted split 7". you already know these two bands as well, this is again a co-effort with art for blind and too cool to dance, mostly as no other labels are stupid enough to put out these uk bands that only 9 people like. and then there is the eat people lp. i am ridiculously excited about this band, and i think you should check them out as soon as you can, i can't wait to hear this one. one more thing on this list for is the football etc lp which will also be a co-release with cyls. might be a way off, but start counting the days now! and finally i am releasing something with a local norwich band. twiddly indie / emo chaps, pennines, are dropping an album at some point. you won't be surprised to learn that this is a split release with cyls.
